Starpatch 900X4L – 4 L Acrylic Bonding Agent

As a Bonding Agent

• When used with polymer modified mixes, can be diluted up to 3:1 (Water: 900X).
• When used with non-polymer modified mixes, dilute 2:1 (Water: 900X).

Recommended For

Preparing surfaces such as cleaned concrete, wood, plywood, gyproc, and cement boards.

Surface Preparation

The concrete, masonry, or wood/plywood surface must be clean and free of all dust, grease, and other foreign material prior to the application of Starpatch 900X. For specific details of usage with each Starpatch mortar product, please read the particular mortar Product Data Sheet available from Starpatch Concrete Products.

Mixing Instructions

• Apply 900X directly to the substrate and allow it to become tacky or dry completely before applying topping mortars. The new concrete topping will re-emulsify the surface to give an extreme bond. 900X will not re-emulsify once the topping mortar has set.
• As a polymer modifier, do not exceed a dilution ratio of 3:1. When using 900X with non-polymer modified toppings or mortars, a 2:1 dilution ratio is recommended.
• When Starpatch 900X is used as an additive or as a primer, please read and follow the instructions written in the pertaining Product Data Sheet.

Application

Brush (preferred), spray, or roll on to substrate and allow product to become dry or tacky before applying topping mortar. Brush Starpatch 900X with a scrubbing motion to form a uniform film, without puddles, over the entire surface. Starpatch 900X will dry in 1 to 3 hours. Place cement topping within 3 days for best results, provided the substrate is kept clean. If topping cannot be placed within 3 days, reapply Starpatch 900X.
