- UV Resistant
- Streak Free
- Custom Colors available upon request
Recommended Use
RA is broadcast onto the concrete surface prior to the placement of mat-type texturing tools or rollers. The RA prevents the concrete from adhering to the texturing mats. As a result, a portion of the release becomes embedded into the concrete, leaving behind an antiqued appearance. RA can be used in matching or contrasting colors to create a variety of effects. A combination of colors can be used to produce unique shadings and highlights to the finished concrete.
Composition
RA is formulated as an ultra fine powder, utilizing UV resistant and streak free pigments.
Colors
RA is available in 16 standard colors: Black, Charcoal, Smoke, Granite, Dover Grey, Bark, Walnut, Nutmeg, Sun Buff, Bluestone, Straw, Dark Redwood, Sedona, Desert Tan, Slate Green, and White. Custom colors are available upon request.
Additional sealer can be applied once the concrete has cured for 28 days.
Coverage
One pail of RA covers approximately 800 to 1000 square feet.
Packaging
RA comes in a 30 lb (13.6 kg) pail, 27 pails per pallet.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a cool, dry area. Shelf life is 1-2 years from the date of manufacture in original unopened containers.
Clean Up
Clean tools with soap and water.
Limitations
Do not trowel RA into the concrete surface. RA should not be used as a primary coloring agent. Avoid application in windy conditions.
Precautions
Review Material Safety Data Sheet for product use and for additional information.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid ingestion.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Use appropriate protective clothing, including gloves, goggles, and fitted respirators.
Preparatory Work
Protect adjacent areas from contamination during application. Estimate the amount of RA required for the project. RA can pack tightly in the container during shipment and storage. Loosen and fluff the RA prior to broadcasting to ensure an even application.
Application
RA can be applied to the surface of freshly placed concrete as soon as all the standing water has disappeared from the surface. Avoid application in windy conditions. Broadcast RA evenly either by hand or with a masonry brush over the area to be stamped. Only broadcast the RA to small areas, approximately 10 to 15 square feet, immediately prior to the stamping process. Broadcast the RA in a thin, uniform layer covering the prepared concrete surface. Do not over apply RA. Over application can decrease texture and detail. Do not trowel RA into the concrete surface. The stamping process should begin as soon as the RA has been applied.
Work Area Clean Up
Residual RA should be removed from the concrete surface when removal can be accomplished without causing damage to the surface. Excess RA should be first swept from the concrete surface. Using a garden hose equipped with a nozzle, rinse the area to the degree desired.
Sealing
To protect your concrete from staining, apply a single coat of S815 solvent sealer once the slab has dried.
